First Day of School 2017

The first day of school was rainy! We love the rain but it did put a damper on taking pictures.

I love hearing about their day.

Summer of bowling 2017

The kids last day of school we had gone bowling with Derek's family. We decided it would be great to buy summer bowling passes. We ended up going 1-2 times per week and the kids were trying to beat their individual best score. Some days were great days and others were bad bowling days but we always had fun.

We ended the summer with these as our best scores:
Maeley: 124
Chase: 125
Zoe: 115
Me: 145
Please note they did have the bumpers up.

Horton's Spring Hike

My friend Stacy and I wanted to go hike together as families so we put it on the calendar. We had been looking forward to it and the day finally arrived.  We headed up to Payson and did the Horton Spring's hike. It ended up being a very memorable hike.

Maeley enjoyed taking charge of Fluffy.

Chase and Aleena are only a few weeks apart and they get along really well.

It was so fun to hike together as families and watch our kids get along and have a good time.

Chase slipped into the cold water right before this picture.

Stacy and I have been friends since we were toddlers.

Zoe and Avalee became great friends. Watching was like watching Stacy and I at that age. So fun!

This hike is about 3.5 miles in and 3.5 back. All these pictures seem so deceiving because shortly after we started heading back to the cars it started to sprinkle. We had been watching the weather and it wasn't showing rain until later in the evening. Well it was WRONG! Eventually it started to pour and even hailed! Derek was up ahead with Chase, Maeley and Aleena. Stacy, Steve, Avalee, Zoe, Fluffy and I were a little behind them. I wish I took pictures. The trail became a stream and we were jogging to get back to the car. Zoe ended up slipping in the mud so then we tried to just speed walk. We were completely soaked!

Maeley was meeting up with a friend in Payson to go to a concert that night. We were planning on getting something to eat in Payson and then meeting up with her friend. Power was out in Payson and after driving around we finally found a gas station that had power and got snacks for the kids and Derek. Maeley was lucky that she had a change of clothes in the car. The rest of us stayed in our wet clothes until we got home. I was freezing!

This is a hike we will never forget!

Girls camp 2017

This year our new stake had girls camp at Camp LoMia. The first day was Chase's actual birthday so I went up the following day with a friend that was going up to teach a yoga class. I'm so thankful I could do that because it made Chase's day that I was home for his birthday.

Shortly after arriving I went with the 3rd years to their classes. First up was the craft cabin. I should have taken a picture of my finished project.

Next up was yoga taught by my friend Jenny. I wish I would have taken pictures. It was such a great class.

 Then we did fun games.

Shortly after finishing up this coarse where the girls were blind folded and everyone was silent. The girls were to find there way to the end.

I loved how many deer I saw while at camp.

Janey and Esther did a duet.

Look how cute these two baby deer are! So glad I got to see them!

This is our group of girls this year, including our YCL's.
