Chase and flag football

Over the past year Chase has really been interested in football. When my friend asked if Chase wanted to do flag football with his friend Ryan it was a quick YES!

Coach Joe

Love the determination on his face

Chase sure has some speed!

He had a great season and loved ever minute of it! This won't be the last football season either.

Gilbert Town Council Citizenship Award

When we received the letter in the mail stating that Zoe was getting the Gilbert Town Council Citizenship Award we were pretty surprised. She earned that award as a kindergartner. Only one kid per school get this each month earns this award. She were proud of her to receive it a second time.

Selfies before we could find a seat.

Zoe with Gilbert Mayor Jenn Daniels

Zoe's wonderful teacher Ms. McBride came to support her. She has been a wonderful teacher to Zoe.

Way to go Zoe! Keep up the good work. You are an incredible girl.

Easter 2017

Maeley got a new swimsuit. Chase got Lego's and Zoe got some American Girl stuff.

With church at 8 they got to see what the Easter Bunny left them but the Easter egg hung waited until after church.

April randoms

My sister Laurel got married in March and had a reception in April.
We are so happy for her and Zach.

The kids sure loved the swings.

Zoe's friend Sydney's little brother passed away.  She really wanted to go to the viewing and the funeral. I love how concerned for her friend she's been. Zoe has a good heart.

These girls were in the same class last year. Katelynn now goes to another school but they are still best friends.

Katelynn, Sydney, Zoe and Ben

This just makes my heart swell. Zoe and Katelynn sat next to each other during the funeral and held hands and shed tears together. I love how they surrounded their friend to comfort her.

Zoe jumped roped her way to school for weeks. This particular day I thought it was funny she matched her jump rope.

We got our exterior of our house painted. This was one project I did NOT want to DIY.

So much better.

Derek's birthday hike

On Derek's birthday the kids were spending time with Derek's parents because Parker and Braden were in town. We took full advantage of that. Derek took a couple days off work. We decided we needed a good hike. One that we might not do with the kids.

We hiked Flat Iron

When we hiked down I was on the phone with my sister during this part. Definitely not the safest thing to do.

Beautiful view!

I'm so happy that Derek and I have so many of the same hobbies. Love spending as much time as we can together.

Spring break events

The kids went swimming a few times during spring break. They are crazy! It's way too cold for that.

We went to St David and spent a day. We love going there!

Zoe finally got to go spend time with Grandma. She got a little dresser for her dolls. She loved getting to paint it. She was nice enough to let Chase and Maeley help.

We finally made it to the Gilbert Historical Museum.

So fun to see pictures of my Grandpa Crandall there.

Awful picture but middle row third from the left.

Front row, far right.

Zoe just had to buy this hat.

And came home and changed into this.

Maeley was invited to go the activity day's with our old ward that we were split off from last year. She misses her friends over there. She had a great time painting.
