June 2015

This year has flown by. The kids spent a lot of time playing with friends and at the pool. Derek and I were on a roll with projects.

One night we did Smores with Ritz crackers and Reese's peanut butter cups. They were delicious!

Maeley and her friend Emma had a lemonade stand. They did really well.

Zoe got stung by a scorpion in the front yard grass. Other than it hurting she acted fine until about 1.5 hours later. She wouldn't eat or drink because "it tasted funny" and had a hard time getting comfortable. She just wanted her dad. Seriously she calmed down and fell asleep on him within minutes after he came home. She felt better after that.

These girls love playing with their dolls.

Bought the kids some handmade wands that a young girl was making and selling for some extra money. They loved them!

Derek and I celebrated our 11 year anniversary. I sure love him more and more every day.

Chase got a suit for his upcoming baptism. He was pretty excited!

Parker and Braden were in town.

What handsome boys!

The projects Derek and I worked on in June.
Derek got crafty and made this. I got the idea from PB Teen.

Getting ready for white paint!

Ordered this print for the girls room. I love it!

Finished cabinets

We finally got around to installing new baseboards upstairs. (Downstairs was done last year) On the left is the old baseboards. One the right is the new. I love big baseboards!

This got a mini makeover and the base was painted white. It was cream before (as shown in the picture).

Derek also made these picture ledge shelves.

And if you notice we painted the beige walls upstairs and downstairs gray! This house is finally beginning to feel like our house and not the previous owners.

May 2015 part 2

Zoe's end of year Kindergarten performance was unforgettable.

What this picture doesn't show is Zoe lifted her dress up too high and flashed the audience. It was hilarious and I had a good laugh. Zoe was only slightly embarrassed.

One of the last days of school.

Another project complete and put to good use.

Zoe and her Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Roberts

Zoe and some of the other ward members from kindergarten. Zoe was the only girl from church that went to Gateway Pointe. She didn't mind at all.

 Another project started!

Summer vacation!

We rearranged and redecorated the girls bedroom!

Zoe and Kit!

We went to St. David for Taylor's mission farewell. Somehow I didn't get a picture of him.

Maeley and I at an activity day girls night.

I found Chase reading like this one night.

May 2015 part 1

The beginning of May Derek and I went on a spontaneous Disneyland trip just the two of us. It was wonderful and needed.

We got soaked on Splash Mountain! 4 of the 5 times we went we were in the first 2 seats. Good thing the hotel was close by. Wet shoes are the worst.

I'm kinda crazy. I need to be first in line each day or its just not right.

I love Mickey waffles!

Tigger pounced me!

Space Mountain is my absolute favorite ride! Second is Indiana Jones.

We ate some really yummy food!

Its fun to act like kids again. We needed to recharge and this trip did just that.
