Chase's birthday and baptism

Its been a tradition with Chase to go to the Disney Store on his birthday. Disney know's how to make you feel special.

I love my little buddy. He is so sweet. He wants to be a good kid and do whats right. He tries hard in school and has some great friends. I love when he wants to help me out with cleaning or anything else I may need. He still needs reminders about picking up his Legos and cleaning his room.   He is growing up too fast.

Chase's love for Legos is not going away anytime soon.

He was so excited to start Cub Scouts! I still have to add the patches to his shirt.

We found this shirt at Gymboree and it looks just like my sisters dog Gizmo!

Chase had an Indiana Jones birthday party!

Laurel out did herself again!

His baptism was so special and he was thrilled it was finally time to get baptized.

My handsome boys!

Chase is so much like his dad its crazy!

4th of July

In the morning on the 4th of July we went to my parents for breakfast and have a small flag raising ceremony. I think its good for the kids to see how to be respectful of the American flag and for what it represents.

Zoe always seems to be emotional when we take family pictures.

The kids enjoyed watching the fireworks from the rooftop of my car.

June 2015

This year has flown by. The kids spent a lot of time playing with friends and at the pool. Derek and I were on a roll with projects.

One night we did Smores with Ritz crackers and Reese's peanut butter cups. They were delicious!

Maeley and her friend Emma had a lemonade stand. They did really well.

Zoe got stung by a scorpion in the front yard grass. Other than it hurting she acted fine until about 1.5 hours later. She wouldn't eat or drink because "it tasted funny" and had a hard time getting comfortable. She just wanted her dad. Seriously she calmed down and fell asleep on him within minutes after he came home. She felt better after that.

These girls love playing with their dolls.

Bought the kids some handmade wands that a young girl was making and selling for some extra money. They loved them!

Derek and I celebrated our 11 year anniversary. I sure love him more and more every day.

Chase got a suit for his upcoming baptism. He was pretty excited!

Parker and Braden were in town.

What handsome boys!

The projects Derek and I worked on in June.
Derek got crafty and made this. I got the idea from PB Teen.

Getting ready for white paint!

Ordered this print for the girls room. I love it!

Finished cabinets

We finally got around to installing new baseboards upstairs. (Downstairs was done last year) On the left is the old baseboards. One the right is the new. I love big baseboards!

This got a mini makeover and the base was painted white. It was cream before (as shown in the picture).

Derek also made these picture ledge shelves.

And if you notice we painted the beige walls upstairs and downstairs gray! This house is finally beginning to feel like our house and not the previous owners.
